Fortress of Radiconfani

On the border of Tuscany’s Natural Park of the Val d’Orcia, the imposing Fortress of Radiconfani towers over the village and is recognized as one of the most impressive and most scenic medieval fortresses of all Italy.  For centuries, the imposing Fortress of Radiconfani has been the symbol of defense on the border between Tuscany and Lazio and was (and still is) compulsory stopover for pilgrims.
